Lava, the Indian Smartphone brand has launched a budget friendly Android KitKat Smartphone, which supports 21 Indian languages with an affordable price tag of Rs.4,499 only.

At the time when the Indian and international smartphone brands are busy developing and launching high-end smartphones with 4G LTE connectivity for the Indian marketplaces , the Indian smartphone manufacturers, Lava has launched the all new Lava Iris 465, a multi-lingual smartphone at an affordable price tag. With supporting twenty one Indian languages, this smartphone has been exclusively made for Indian users, who are looking for an Indian touch in their smartphone. Also, the price tag of Rs.4,499 makes this smartphone a great option for first time smartphone buyers.

However, Lava is not the first smartphone brand to launch a multi-lingual smartphone. Earlier, Micromax had also launched affordable and multi-lingual Android smartphones in its Unite series. The 21 local Indian languages, which this smartphone supports including, Hindi, Sanskrit, Kannada, Malayalam, Telugu, Tamil, Oriya, Santali, Punjabi, Gujarati, Maniouri, Maithili, Assamese, Bengali, Sindhi, Kashmiri, Konkani, Dogri, Marathi, Nepali and Bodo.

The Lava Iris 465 features a 4.5-inch TFT capacitive touchscreen display that produces FWVGA resolution of 480 x 854 pixels at a density of 218 pixels per inch . Running on Google’s Android 4.2.2 KitKat operating system, this smartphone has been 512MB of RAM and powered by a 1.3GHz Dual Core Processor. This hardware combination won’t allow you to play high-graphics addictive games and run big applications smoothly on this smartphone. However, it is well enough for light multitasking.

Lava has added a standard 3.15 Megapixels (2048 x 1536) rear camera with LED flash on this smartphone. It features Panorama mode, face & smile detection. Lava Iris 465 has also got a VGA secondary camera on its front. The user will get 4GB on-board storage space on this smartphone for storing music, videos and apps. Though, it can be expanded up to 32GB using a MicroSD card.

The Lava Iris 465 is a Dual-SIM Android smartphone, which also features like Bluetooth, 3G, GPRS/EDGE, Wi-Fi, GPS, A-GPS, MicroUSB and 3.5mm Audio Jack as its connectivity options. Being fuelled by a 1750mAH battery, this smartphone claims 10 hours 31 minutes of talk time and approx. 250 hours of stand-by time. However, we believe that these claims would fail under testing conditions. The buyer can choose between white and black color variants of Lava Iris 465.

The Lava Iris 465 is an affordable smartphone buy. Though, the under-powered hardware specs like poor front and back camera, processor and RAM doesn’t supports the price tag of Rs.4,499. You can get Karbonn Android One Sparkle V or Miccromax Unite A092, by spending around 500 bucks more. Both these smartphones have 1GB of RAM and a better rear camera. Also, the Karbonn Android One Sparkle V would be getting the promised Android 5.0 Lollipop update. Look onto these two options before buying Lava Iris 465.
